ScottMadden Inc., one of North America's leading energy consulting firms, is pleased to join forces with Infocast to present an interactive webinar, "ScottMadden Energy Industry Update—What Is Happening, What It Means, and Where the Industry Is Headed," on Friday, June 22, 2012, from 1:00-2:30 PM EDT.

This webinar will be based on ScottMadden's latest Energy Industry Update, a semiannual publication featuring our view of recent significant events and emerging trends.

This 90-minute session will focus on hot topics including solar and wind development in light of low natural gas prices, transmission development in the wake of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's Order 1000, and regulatory trends in the industry.

The ScottMadden panelists will consist of: Chris Vlahoplus, partner and nuclear practice leader; Jake Jacobi, partner and clean tech and infrastructure practice leader; Cristin Lyons, partner and transmission, distribution, and Smart Grid practice leader; Rick Starkweather, partner and rates and regulatory practice leader; and Greg Litra, partner and energy, clean tech, and infrastructure research lead.

Stu Pearman, partner and energy practice leader, will moderate the webinar. This faculty will address these questions:

  • What is the outlook for wind and solar in the face of cheap gas and the sunsetting production tax credit?
  • What about cheap, stable gas prices—here to stay?
  • How will transmission development fare with Order 1000 and questions about incentive rates?
  • How can we improve customer and regulator understanding of the benefits of smart meters and Smart Grid investments?

"We are pleased to partner with Infocast in offering this webinar," says Mr. Pearman. "The ScottMadden Energy Industry Update is well received by thousands of industry leaders. One CEO recently told us, I look forward to it and read every word."

During the webinar, ScottMadden experts will share their views and field your questions. This is a great opportunity to take a step back and think about what is happening, what it means, and where our industry is headed.

All registered attendees will receive a copy of the special edition of our Energy Industry Update, especially prepared for this webinar.
