Sharyland Utilities LP on Aug, 15 filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas a Generation Interconnection Agreement with Goodnight Wind Energy Project LLC for the 498-MW Goodnight Phase I Wind Project.
The project's Point of Interconnection will be located in Armstrong County, Texas, in Sharyland's new 345 kV ALI-TUL mid-point station located approximately 16.5 miles south of the Alibates station and 40.4 miles north of Tule Canyon, along the Alibates-to-Tule Canyon line.
The project will consist of about 249 turbines rated at 2 MW each for a total of 498 MW. These are the Vestas V110-2.0 Wind Turbine Generator.
The project's scheduled commercial operation date is March 28, 2018.
