Description:

Directly supervise the Generation Power Dispatchers who centrally bid, schedule, control, and dispatch the real-time output of PPL’s generating units. Develop and maintain all FERC/NERC mandated reliability procedures and all other Generation Dispatch procedures required to comply with and meet the needs of independent system operators, power pools, PPL Energy Marketing Center and other PPL business lines, transmission operators, and PPL’s counterparties. Monitor the Generation Management System (GMS) performance to ensure correct operation and develop & facilitate changes to GMS when required. Act as subject matter expert and interface with support staff for all electronic systems used Generation Power Dispatchers.
